“The Light Within” by Mary Calai – Photo Exhibition

You are cordially invite to Mari Calai’s first solo exhibition in the U.S. titled “The Light Within.” The exhibition will be on display from Saturday, July 29 through August 8 at the Homme Gallery located at 2000 L Street, NW in Washington, DC.
An Opening Reception with a guided tour will take place on the opening day on July 29 from 5 until 7 pm.A deeper dive into spirituality, understanding more aspects of human condition, life’s inspirations but also contradictions, the intrinsic duality of existence, studies on energy healing, and the connection found with nature is what led to this body of photographic work – The Light Within.
Mari Calai is a Romanian-American artist living in Northern-Virginia with her family. Born and raised in Romania, and for the later part of her life living abroad from Italy, to the US and S. Korea, Mari has been travelling the world exploring different cultures and that is what inspires her the most. As a mixed media artist, her work is sublime and market by a nostalgic realism.
