Romanians of DC has the pleasure of inviting you to a special event, a Stand-Up Comedy Show featuring DC comedians originally from Romania, Albania and beyond. Join us on Sunday, September 17 from 5 until 7 pm at Busboys and Poets located at 450 K Street, NW in Washington DC for a hilarious night of jokes with a Balkan flavor! Andrei Teodosescu will get the evening going with his set of soulful songs!
David Morar, born in Romania, started doing stand-up in 2009, in Central Pennsylvania and has been making himself laugh ever since (sometimes he’ll even make other people laugh while on stage, too!). Ivi Demi, born in Albania, has performed across the United States at comedy festivals big and small, has been featured at the DC Improv and produces several shows in NYC and DC. Under their production label of the Balkan Bash, David and Ivi have produced four humanitarian comedy shows in DC with proceeds of almost $60,000 going to Ukrainian causes like prosthetics for war amputees and Kiev’s only English-speaking theater.
Alongside David and Ivi, some of DC’s best comedians (originally from around the world) will make sure your Sunday evening is going to be full of laughs. The full line-up is subject to change and will be released closer to the event”
Andrei Teodosescu, a doctor specialized in Pathology by day, is a singer, songwriter, and musician in his spare time. His original songs feature guitars, piano, and vocals, and his music genre spans all the way from eclectic alternative and indie rock to pop, folk and blues.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person and are available online at rostandup.eventbrite.com. Seating is limited and likely this will be a sold-out event, so get your tickets now! Any tickets available on the day of the show or at the door are $35 per person. Doors open at 4:50 pm. Show performed in English. Not suitable for an audience 16 and younger.
Get ready to laugh like you’re back in Europe!
