Navigating Toward Resilience: Technological Gamechangers

Join Hudson Institute and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre (E-ARC) for a virtual workshop titled Navigating toward Resilience: Technological Gamechangers which will take place on Thursday, September 28 between 10 am and 12:50 pm EST on how the U.S. and its allies should address the promises and perils of emerging technologies. Disruptive and emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence, bioengineering, autonomous systems, and quantum computing—present substantial challenges and opportunities to the United States and its allies. To ensure the resilience of deterrence and defense, as well as of civil society, it is critical that allies continue to assess how these technologies could affect security.

The event will consist of two panels held simultaneously in Washington, DC, and Bucharest, Romania, which will be simulcast.

H.E. Dan-Andrei Muraru, Ambassador of Romania to the United States will deliver welcoming remarks, and Romanian Chief of Defense General Daniel Petrescu will have opening remarks. General Philippe Lavigne, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, will deliver the keynote address, followed by expert discussions featuring:

The closing remarks will be presented by Liliana Filip, President, Political Research Group. The discussions will be moderated by Patrick Tucker, Science and Technology Editor at Defense One and Sascha Fahrbach, Technology and Business Journalist.
